On this day in 1971, Zimbabwean Politician Fungayi Jessie Majome was born. Majome is the founder and principlal of Co. Legal Practitioners and the former of Zimbawe Deputy minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs and the Deputy Minister for Women’s affairs, gender and community development. She holds a master of Law (L.L.M), a master in women’s laws (M.S.W.L), Bachelor of Laws honours (L.L.B.S). Majome presents variety of boards such as the Mutemwa Leprosy Catholic Care Centre (MLCC) and Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association where she chairs the Professional Interests Committee (ZWLA) Ndabaningi Sithole Foundation.
On this day in 2021, the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commissioner (ZACC) Jessie Fungayi Majome filed a lawsuit against award winning journalist Hopewell Chin’ono taxing $US 350 000 for character assassination.
