On this day in 1972, footballer Norman Mapeza was born in Zimbabwe. Mapeza began his football career playing for Darryn Textiles F.C in Harare. He then moved to Europe where he played for Galatasaray in the 1990s UEFA Champions League. He also coached football clubs in Zimbabwe before becoming the Warriors Captain. Currently, he is the head coach of a South African football club.
