On this day in 2008, many people were beaten during the time of protests by the police at a night club in Warren Park. Mostly ladies were ill-treated more than men. There were accused for making pornographic material for use to please the whites.

On this day in 2014, Zimbabwe authorities (ZRP) arrested 11 student leaders in apparent retaliation for non-violent protests that was held at Harare Polytechnic Institute. The students vandalised school properties and they were against deteriorating academic standards as well as rules barring students with outstanding fees from attending classes.

Matebeleland North Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Commanding Officer Erasmus Makodza was on this day nabbed by the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC). The policeman was being charged with criminal abuse of duty in which he influenced the ZRP to lease a ZRP owned farm to someone close to him.
