ZCTU called for a protests against rising fuel prices in Zimbabwe

On this day in 1998, the ZCTU called for a protest against rising fuel prices in Zimbabwe. This protest resulted in the death of an individual, not forgetting many who were injured. Riots were called as a way to stop the so called strike. The ZCTU accused and blamed Mugabe government of corruption which is causing Zimbawe’s hyper inflation.
