Titus Nheya, MDC supporter was stabbed to death at the age of 56

On this day in 2002, MDC Supporter Titus Nheya was stabbed to death in Karoi at the age of 56 by ZANU-PF youth. The incident was reported to the Police officers by the Movement for Democratic Change members but no publicly known investigations were made.

The Lancaster House Agreement was signed in London

On this day in 1979, the Lancaster House Agreement was signed in London. The agreement guaranteed freedom of association and the right to form trade unions. The late former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Gabriel Mugabe on this day emphasised the need for truce between different political parties.
