On this day in 2001, MDC supporter Alexander Chigega was beaten to death at his home in Madziva by suspected ZANU PF supporters. Sadly, he died on his way to the hospital whilst his wife and sons were later admitted at Bindura Hospital after experiencing severe injuries.
