On this day in 1922, the late Rhodesian politician Mark Partridge was born at States Mines in South Africa, . Partridge later on moved to Salisbury were he worked for as the Minister of Lands, Natural Resources and Defence. His zeal as a South-African born settler for Transvaal type segregation policies led him to put forward a race classification tribunal for Rhodesia.
On this day in 2007, the late Rhodesian minister of Lands, Natural Resources and Defence Mark Partridge died at the age of 85.
