On this day in 1932, former Chief Justice Antony Ray Bubbay was born in England. He studied in South Africa before emmigrating to Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) where he worked. In 1977, he was sworn in as a High Court judge and 1989, he was sworn in as the Supreme Court judge, a position which he served until his resignation in 2001. He was succeeded by Godfrey Chidyausiku.
