On this day in 2010, the first black prime minister of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia Bishop Abel Muzorewa died at his home in Harare. He died after battling with cancer. Muzorewa was 84 at the time of his death.

ZANU-PF central committee member Cde Victoria Chitepo was found dead at her home in Harare

On this day in 2016, ZANU-PF central committee member Cde Victoria Chitepo was found dead by her granddaughter at her home in Mount Pleasant, Harare. Victoria Chitepo was the wife of the late Advocate Herbert Chitepo. She died at the age of 87.
