Yoweri Museveni declared himself to be Ugandan President

In 1980 Uganda held elections and Museveni lost. Reports were made that the elections had been rigged and Museveni together with Yusufu Lule formed the National Resistance Movement (NRM) which led a guerilla warfare against the ruling party led by Milton Obote.
