On this day in 1960, freedom fighter and politician Margaret Dongo was born in Zimbabwe. Margaret joined the liberation struggle in her teens. In post colonial Zimbabwe she helped in the formation of the National Liberation War Veterans Association (NLWVA) in 1989 as well as advocated for the rights of women.
