Zimbabwean Politician Simbarashe Mumbengegwi was born on this day in Chivi district of Zimbabwe. He attained his primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe and later on moved to Australia where he pursued his tertiary studies at Monash University. At Monash University he was the popular and affable President of the African Students Association. He was a political exile and after independence he came back to Zimbabwe and held several government and minesterial posts. Currently, he serves as the Minister of Macro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion.
