Former first African women to serve as President of the Senate of Zimbabwe Edna Madzongwe was born

On this day in 1943, Former first African women to serve as President of the Senate of Zimbabwe Edna Madzongwe was born. Madzongwe holds a BA degree and her area of specialisation is English. In 1990, she was elected as a member of Parliament and in 1994 she served as the Deputy Minister of Education and Culture.
